Hace un montón que tenemos esta abandonadillo, lo sé. Pero Naomie está super ocupada con el máster del universo que está haciendo, y yo la verdad es que últimamente dedico casi todo mi tiempo libre a patinar o ver series, así que he hecho poca cosa.
El caso es que por ir a patinar perdí la funda del móvil y me dio pereza comprarme otra, así que pensé: “Ehhh, ¿porqué no te haces tu propia funda?”. Y a ello que me puse.
Por supuesto, a una whovian como yo sólo se le podía ocurrir hacer una funda-TARDIS como la que veis en la foto. Ha quedado relativamente parecida, ¿no? Confieso que no me gusta mucho el letrero, pero la verdad es que coser letras realistas en fieltro es un infierno. Por lo demás, estoy bastante contenta con ella, y aunque había pensado hacerle la luz arriba, creo que mejor así, porque la luz se acabaría descosiendo a base de tirones en el bolso.
En cuanto a las instrucciones para haceros vuestra propia funda-TARDIS, es muy sencillo. Si tenéis un Smartphone de los finitos (el mío es un Nexus 4 para que os hagáis una idea) esto es lo que hay que hacer:
- Empezar con una cadeneta 3 puntos más larga que el ancho del móvil (creo que en mi caso fueron 20).
- Hacer un punto sobre cada punto de la cadeneta.
- Al llegar al final, girar y hacer un punto en cada punto de la cadeneta por el otro lado.
- Seguir en redondo hasta la altura del móvil (en mi caso 33 vueltas).
- Hacer un punto en cada punto de la mitad de la funda y una cadeneta para girar.
- Girar y hacer un punto sobre cada uno de los puntos del paso 5 y una cadeneta al final para girar.
- Repetir pasos 5 y 6 hasta que tengáis un trozo de solapa suficiente para tapar el móvil (en mi caso fueron 12 vueltas).
- Coser el velcro a la solapa y en el punto correspondiente de la funda.
- Podéis coser una cinta para ayudaros a sacar el móvil, tal como se muestra en las fotos. Le dais la vuelta a la funda y coséis la punta de la cinta a lo que sería la parte de delante de la funda. Con un par de cadenetas hacéis el enganche y lo coséis a la parte de atrás. Pasáis la cinta por dentro del enganche y listo.
- Coserle todos los detalles de las ventanas y el cartel.

I know we have the blog a little bit abandoned. Naomie is really busy with the Master’s of the Universe she’s doing, and I’ve been spending my free time skating and watching TV shows so I haven’t been crocheting.
The thing is that I lost my mobile case while skating and I was too lazy to go and buy a new one, so I thougth:”Hey, why don’t you crochet your own case?” And so I did.
And being a whovian like me, and just after the 50th anniversary, I couldn’t help it to make a TARDIS-case for my phone as the one in the picture. I think is quite similar, don’t you? I have to confess I don’t like very much the Police Box sign, but it’s very difficult to sew letters in the felt. Otherwise, I’m happy with my case.
If you want to make your own, here are the general instructions. My phone is a Nexus 4, if you want to have an idea of sizes.
- Chain 3 more point of the width of your phone. (20 in my case)
- Go back and crochet one simple crochet in each point of the chain.
- Turn around and crochet one sc in each point of the other side of the chain.
- Keep crocheting sc in rounds, until you reach the height of your phone. (33 rounds in my case)
- Crochet one sc in each sc for half the case, and one chain at the end
- Turn around and crochet 1 sc in each and a chain at the end
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have a flap to cover the phone. (12 rounds in my case)
- Sew the Velcro to the flap and the corresponding place on the front
- You can sew a ribbon as in the pictures to help you extract the phone of the cover
- Now sew the details of the windows and the sign
And there’s your TARDIS-cover!

Una de las pelis favoritas de Naomie, y que yo debo
reconocer que vi hace poco (y casi me “desamiga” por ello”) es Gru, mi villano
favorito.
Hace poco un amigo me pidió que le hiciera un minion para su
novia. Estuve buscando por ahí patrones y el que más me gustó fue el de Teresade Roulet (en inglés) que encontré en ravelry. Me gustó porque las piezas de
los ojos y el mono son sueltas, con lo que puedes hacer distintos ojitos y
tener intercambio xDD
Este es el resultado. Yo creo que Ángela quedó encantada con
él :D
Mi pequeño minion
One of Naomie’s favourite movies is Despicable Me, and she almost “unfriend” me because I just saw it a few months ago.
Las month a
friend asked me for a minion, so he can gift it to his girlfriend. I was looking
around for a pattern and the one I liked the most was this one from Teresa de
Roulet I found in ravelry. I really liked it because the pieces of the eyes and
the suit are removable, so you can do different pieces and exchange them and it
seems you have different minions! xD
The picture is the
result of my minion. I think Angela really loved it! :D
IsaLos whovians somos pocos, así que cuando descubro que alguien lo es no quepo en mí de la emoción. Hace unos meses me encargaron un Dalek para darle una sorpresa a un whovian. Es el amigurumi más difícil que he hecho (tiene puntos que no había utilizado nunca) aunque disfruté muchiiiiiiisimo haciéndolo.
Os dejo el patrón (está en inglés), si sois principiantes aquí tenéis otro más sencillo y más pequeño (también en inglés).

It's not easy to find a whovian in Spain so I'm thrilled every time I realize that someone I know is a whovian. A few months ago I was asked to crochet a Dalek to surprise a whovian. This is the most difficult amigurumi I've ever made (it had new stitches for me) but I enjoyed soooooooooooo much crocheting it.

Poco después de abrir el blog quedé a comer con un amigo un tanto friki, y le hablé de los amigurumis que hago, del blog, le enseñé fotos y todas estas cosas y me pidió que le hiciera un Tux, que para quien no lo sepa es el pingüino mascota de Linux.
En principio, me puse a pensar en hacer yo un pingüino con patrón y demás, pero la verdad es que pensé que seguro que por ahí había ya patrones de Tux estupendos, que probablemente iban a ser más chulos que el que se me ocurriera a mí.
Así que pegando una mirada por ahí el que más me gustó fue el Tux de Lanas y ovillos, que podéis encontrar en su web.
Y éste es el resultado. Espero que os guste, y que le guste a Pablo ;)

A few days after opening the blog I had lunch with a good, nerdy friend of mine. I talked with him about my amigurumis, the blog, showed him pictures, etc and he asked me to make a Tux for him (FYI, TUX is the official penguin mascot of Linux OS).
At first, I wanted to make my own penguin, with my own pattern. But then I though there will be a lot of Tux patterns over the Internet, probably better than the one I could make.
I start looking and the one I liked the most was the one in Lanas y Ovillos, which you can find in their website (only in Spanish, sorry).
And in the picture above you can see my finished Tux. I hope you like it (and so do Pablo ;) )

Todos los fans de Doctor Who tenemos clara una cosa: los ángeles llorosos son una de las criaturas más espeluznantes de la tierra. Y todos tenemos claro lo que hay que hacer:

Any Doctor Who fan knows that the scariest thing in the heart is the weeping angels. And we all know what to do when we found one (see video above).
So, if you want to scare to death one of your geek friends, here’s a weeping angel pattern you can make and gift them, so they don’t blink for the rest of their lives.

Estaba yo tan pancha en el sofá el otro día cuando de repente escuché un sonido extraño (ver video):
¡Y de repente esto
apareció en mi salón!
Aún estoy esperando que se abra la puerta y que salga el Doctor de dentro gritando “Allons-y” (Sí, espero que sea Ten xD).
Bueno, va, honestamente, hice esta TARDIS como
regalo de navidad para mi señor esposo y la verdad es que él está encantado con
ella.
Me gustaría pasaros
el patrón, peeeeeeeero no fui lo suficientemente lista como para ir apuntando a
la vez que la hacía, y ahora la verdad que es imposible.

me basé en esta que podéis encontrar en ravelry (si estáis haciendo amigurumis

El caso es que la
hice más grande de lo que sale en el patrón, simplemente haciendo más vueltas y
tratando de mantener las proporciones.
Después, las
diferencias son:
- Los cuadritos de las puertas los hice en 3D (hice 24 cuadraditos y los cosí).
- Las ventanas recorté un cuadrado de fieltro blanco u las sujeté con hilo azul, haciendo los travesaños.
- Y la parte de arriba, la TARDIS original hace como “para adentro” antes del techo, así que lo intenté hacer, haciendo otras partes rectas un poco más pequeñas que el área de la base y cosiéndolas en el techo (no sé si me explico muy bien, sorry. Si quieres más explicación, abajo tienes los comentarios ;) )
Eso sí, desde ahora
juro solemnemente que cada vez que haga algo inventándome el patrón iré
apuntando que hago en cada vuelta.

I was so happy lying at the sofa the other day, when I heard a noise...(click play on the video above), and suddenly, A TARDIS showed up at my living room! Seriously, I’m still waiting to see The Doctor coming out and saying “Allons-y” (yep, I hope Ten coming out).
Ok, so, to be honest, I did this TARDIS as a
Christmas gift to my husband and he really, really loves it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t write down the pattern
while I was doing it, so I cannot pass it to you.
All I can say is I took this one at ravelry (if
you’re doing amigurumis and you’re not registered yet, I don’t know what you’re

I wanted a bigger TARDIS, so I made the walls
bigger, by doing more points in each line, and more lines, trying to maintain
the proportions.
Then, there are a few differences:
- I made the squares of the doors in 3D, by making 24 small squares and sewing them to the doors.
- For the windows I cut a piece of felt and I attached it to the doors with blue yarn, making the crosspieces of the windows.
- And for the roof, the original TARDIS is a telephone cabinet and the roof doesn’t start directly at the end of the walls, it makes like a smaller walls and then the roof. So I made 8 smaller straight parts and then sew them to the walls. Then I put the roof and the light. (I’m not so sure I made myself clear, if you want an explanation, hit the comments) .
One thing is clear after this, for now on, I
solemnly swear, next time I do an amigurumi making up the pattern, I’ll write
down every step I do!
